As the world's largest lantern festival, Taiwan Lantern Festival features thousands of artistic lanterns forming a sea of lights with spectacular fireworks. 2010 Taiwan Lantern Festival is held in Chiayi City. After an 80-minute high-speed-rail ride from Taipei, one can visit the famous Alishan Mountain while sipping the world's finest oolong tea before enjoying the dazzling lanterns at nightfall.
